Q. What is PUL and Why should I add it to my order?
A. PUL stands for Polyurethane Laminate. It is a soft fabric featuring a breathable waterproof polyurethane layer bonded to the back of cotton or linen fabric.
Unlike stiff plastic-style waterproof materials, PUL is:
- Flexible
- Lightweight
- Breathable
- Soft to touch
This makes it the perfect addition to baby products, offering practical waterproof protection whilst still keeping your little one comfy.
How We Use PUL:
Pram Liners
A layer of PUL is stitched inside the pram liner, covering the area from the top of the shoulder straps to the bottom of the liner for added protection against spills and accidents.
Bassinet Fitted Sheets
Our bassinet sheets feature two layers:
- A soft top layer of cotton or linen
- A full-coverage waterproof PUL layer underneath
Foot Muffs
A layer of PUL is stitched into the top side of the foot muff to help keep little feet warm and dry during wet weather outings.
Why Add PUL to Your Product?
Adding PUL provides extra protection whilst maintaining comfort and softness.
Benefits include:
- Helping protect your pram from spills, leaks and toilet training accidents
- Preventing liquids from soaking through to the pram seat
- Keeping products soft, breathable and comfortable
- Making cleaning easier for busy parents
- Helping keep feet dry in wet weather when added to foot muffs
